Another Successful Fair!

St. John’s celebrated its 176th Harvest Fair with a day of great food, glad fellowship, and contributions from parishioners, friends, and loyal supporters. Saturday, November 21 was a beautiful fall day, and fairgoers were treated to coffee, hot donuts, and cider as they arrived at the outdoor tent. Indoors, the aromas of turkey dinner filled the Parish House, and upstairs the usual tables of gifts and goods made for fine holiday shopping. So far proceeds have amounted to about $4300, and we expect more contributions to come. This year, a mission table featured cards and soaps, the proceeds of which will go to support three ministries: the Burin Church Community in the West Bank of Palestine, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Lynn, and the Harvest on Vine Food Pantry here in Charlestown. Thank you, Adrienne Sweetser and Heidi Clement, our fair co-chairs, Steve Spinetto, our Turkey Dinner Chair, and all the hard workers who made it such a great day.
