St. John’s is located at 27 Devens Street in the Town Hill neighborhood of Charlestown, two blocks south of Thompson Square, and one block West of Main Street.

By public transportation, take the Orange Line to Community College. From the T-Stop, use the footbridge to cross over Route 99 (Rutherford Ave.) toward the 99 Restaurant. Turn right at the end of the footbridge and cross over Austin St. You will see an ice rink, and to the left of it a parking lot and playground. Walk through the parking lot and past the playground. Cross the street onto Old Rutherford Avenue, and continue for one block, until Old Rutherford meets Devens Street. You will see St. John’s on your left.

If you are traveling by car there is parking available in the neighborhood on Sundays (weekday parking restrictions do not apply on Sundays). Many of our out-of-town members find parking at the ice rink a very convenient option. The entrance to the lot is opposite the 99 Restaurant on Austin St.

If you would like to park right by the church, drive down Main Street towards City Square and take a hard right onto Devens Street. You’ll see the blue Episcopal Church sign on the corner of Main and Devens streets that will point you to the church.
