Centering Prayer Continues Through Lent

Join us on Thursdays in Lent – February 26- March 26
5:30 – 7:15 pm in the Parish House

On Thursday evenings we invite you to spend 20 minutes learning the practice of centering prayer, the discipline of quietly waiting on God and entering into contemplation of God, followed by a lively discussion of Thomas Merton’s spiritually and intellectually engaging classic. No Man is An Island. No experience with centering prayer or meditation is required and simple instructions will be given at each session. For those unfamiliar with Thomas Merton, Merton (1915-1968) was a Trappist monk, a Catholic priest, social activist, student of comparative religion, and a writer known for his ability to draw his readers into the spiritual center of Christian theology.

Thursday sessions will begin on Thursday, February 26, and run through March 26. We will start with a simple supper at 5:30 pm and finish at 7:15.
