Ash Wednesday Services on March 5th

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, and we gather to worship God and, in the words of the liturgy, to dedicate ourselves, in the words of the Prayer Book, “to the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denail, and meditating on God’s holy Word.  There will be two services that day, with the imposition of ashes at both services for those who wish.

4 pm: A service designed especially for children and families, to introduce them to the season of Lent

7 pm: Holy Eucharist with the imposition of ashes.
